As you know I am a firm believer in the body to heal itself. I love energy medicine, spiritual work, meditation, etc. On top of that, I am a science nerd. I love learning how the brain works, how consciousness works, what the different parts of the brain are and how they function.
You've seen my posts on Bliss Brain and Whole Brain Living and on Dr. Joe Dispensa's documentary, SOURCE It is Within You. Today let me tell you about HEAL. Kelly Noonan Gores directed this beautiful documentary on the mind/body/spirit/energetic connection and how healing can occur. Our body is a self-sustaining, self-correcting, magnificent creation especially when we get out of its way. How do we do this? By healing/changing our thoughts and emotions from lack and limitation, illness and disease to empowerment, knowledge, positivity, peace and the truth of who we really are and the power that lies within each of us. I'm not going to naively sit here and tell you it's easy. But neither is it impossible. Even Jesus said, "all things are possible to them that believe." I Believe, Lord. I Believe. I hope you enjoyed today's post and that you'll check out HEAL. Watch the trailer HERE. Also, you can get 20% off Dr. Joe Dispenza's documentary, Source It is Within You documentary through December 31st using the code: Source_Giving. Until next time, take care and God Bless. PamT

In a previous post I admitted that I am a Science nerd and discussed Bliss Brain by Dr. Dawson Church.
Recently I was introduced to "Whole Brain Living" by Dr. Jill Bolte-Taylor and Oh, My Goodness! I haven't read the book yet but I listened to 2 interviews with Dr. Jill on Suzanne Giesmann's "Messages of Hope" podcast and just had to share this information with you! When I do get a chance to read the book, I will post again. Meanwhile, check out both interviews HERE:Part 1 and Part 2. ENJOY! Until next time, keep learning, keep growing. PamT ![]()
As I sit here and ponder what to share with you today, I am reminded of the old adage, “Life is what you make it.”
If you are a firm believer in the Law of Attraction, then this statement is true in a very literal sense. (Uh, oh, many of you tuned out with the mention of LOA – thinking I’m going off on a new age, mumbo jumbo tangent, but bear with me LOL!) The Law of Attraction states that what you focus on, you attract into your life. Not necessarily the same thing, but similar situations and circumstances that keep you trapped in that cycle of living - whether good or bad. The Bible says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, therefore he is.” Given these two examples, could there be some truth in that old adage? Can we really make life be what we want it to be, what we wish to experience? “If these statements are true,” you may wonder, “then why is my life such a mess?” After all, you didn’t ask to be born into the family you have, or don’t have. You didn’t ask for the layoff or divorce, illness or death that knocked you down, rocked your world, and trampled your faith into the dirt. We all know those folks who are living examples of the old Hee Haw song about gloom, despair, and misery but what makes them different from others who have suffered a similar (or worse) fate? Why is it that some can wallow in the negativity of their life for years while others simply deal with it, let it go and move on? Now I’m not saying that those who have the ability to move on don’t suffer. Far from the truth that is! What I am saying is that they choose a different path–a way of thinking and behaving that brings peace and joy into their lives despite the circumstances. If you talk to many people you’ll begin to realize one of the things that separate the winners from the whiners is the words of their mouth and meditation of their heart (mind). In other words, their stinkin’ thinkin’. Here’s a clue: If you want to change your life, you must change your thoughts and then change your words! Even the bible backs this up with scriptures like… “I put before you life and death, therefore choose life,” and “the power of life and death are in the tongue, and he that indulgeth in it shall eat the fruit thereof,” oh and let’s not forget “you reap what you sow.” Jesus said that it is not what goes into a man’s mouth that defiles him, but what comes out of it. We’ve all heard the saying, “you can’t live a positive life with a negative attitude” and that is so true! If whatever “it” is that happened to make you so miserable transpired years ago – Get Over It Already! Now I know that sounds harsh but be honest….Do YOU like being around a dark, nasty cloud all the time? I know I don’t. No matter how much I love or care for someone, after a while it gets old hearing the same old poor, pitiful me stories. We all have experiences in our lives that are far from blissful. Sometimes I look back and wonder how I ever made it through some of the circumstances that threatened to get and keep me down. I’m not better than the next person, so I guess what makes me different is that I chose to rise above those things, to think and speak victory over my life instead of wallow in a victim mentality. Here’s the good news…You Can Too! Something to think about….. Inspirational with an Edge! ™

I have a confession to make...
I am a Science Nerd. I never thought of myself as one but there you go. I did love Science in high school. In fact, I participated in the Science Fair at McNeese State University my freshman year. But, what I didn't like was Biology, specifically diasecting insects and amphibians. UGH. However, in recent years my love of the Scientific proof of techniques such as EFT/Tapping and Meditation on the body and brain have rekindled my fascination with the physical/mental/emotional/spiritual part of us humans. Bliss Brain is one such book. Don't worry, I'll discuss others here, after all, that's what this blog is all about. Anyway, I listened to an interview with Dawson Church during this year's Tapping Solution World Summit mentioned in a previous post and, hearing his story of surviving the 2017 wildfires of CA, I had to have this book! The founder of EFT University, Dr. Church explains how years of practicing meditation combined with EFT aided him and his wife in dealing with the tragedy. The book contains many stories of others who've been helped by his EcoMeditation -- which only takes 15 minutes a day--and includes many Scientific studies. He describes the components of the brain and how they work with the body and within our reality. What I love most about books such as Bliss Brain is that they contain practical applications of the processes explained within. Dr. Churche's Deepening Practices and Extended Play Resources at the end of each chapter (which include a link to a free Ecomeditation), if followed, makes for a richer experience than reading alone. If you like having proof before trying techniques such as EFT and Meditation, or you're a Science Nerd like me, read Bliss Brain for yourself! Until next time, take care and be blessed. PamT |
